With over 30 years of playing experience, and 15 years of teaching experience I’ve spent most of my life immersed in music. A native New Yorker, I began my musical training at Mannes Pre-College, and then attended the
LaGuardia High School of Music, Art and Performing Arts. I hold a Masters in Music from Boston Conservatory, and a Bachelors in Music from the Hartt School of Music. I received my Suzuki Certification in Violin from
School for Strings, although I accept both Suzuki and traditional violin students. I’m an active freelancer, and have played in venues such as Merkin Hall, National Gallery of the Arts, and the Apollo Theater. Most recently I appeared with Mannheim Steamroller at the Palace Theater in Connecticut. As a teacher I strive to create a positive environment in which my students can grow. As no two people are alike, no two lessons that I give are the same, and I aim to tailor my lessons to the specific needs of each student. I focus on technique, sound production, and musicality. Most of all I encourage my students to uncover and enjoy their unique voice on the violin or piano. Music is a language, and for both the young and old it should be a fun and rewarding discovery.
