Meet Michael:
Michael Badami has 6 years of financial services and strategy consulting experience in the United States. Michael’s expertise in financial reporting, financial modeling and strategic planning has significantly impacted the
firms and clients he has served. Michael has a strong record of facilitating organizational growth and enhancing operational efficiency through organizational re-structures, go-to-market strategies and various financial reporting and modeling.
Michael designed an operational and financial model that led to the hiring of new team for an airport lounge design firm and laid the groundwork for the establishment of 20 new airport clubs, overseeing both inception and
subsequent operations.
He has created a go-to-market strategy for an emerging kombucha company, identifying vital distribution channels and forging local partnerships, alongside crafting a value proposition that resonated with potential partners.
He helped in the execution of a CPG focused private equity group perform an operational due diligence for a transaction exceeding $1.5B. He helped develop insights which led to the creation of an estimated EBITDA adjustment of $12.5M , integral to the client’s strategic bid process.
Michael spearheaded the financial reporting for 7 multi-billion-dollar private investment management clients and managed the financial reporting for over 300 mutual-funds, ensuring stringent compliance with reporting standards. His leadership and project management skills were key in guiding a team of three associates through these various financial projects and reporting cycles.
Additionally, Michael successfully facilitated the approval of approximately 150 new hedge and private equity funds at a Significantly Important Financial Institution (SIFI). At the same firm, within the Institutional Investor Services business, he managed the financial reconciliations and the preparation of essential SEC reports for the firm’s largest institutional insurance clients.
Michael holds an MBA, with concentrations in Finance and Strategy, from Emory University's Goizueta Business School. His undergraduate degree, a B.S.B.A. with an emphasis in Economics, was awarded by the University of
Missouri's Trulaske College of Business, where he graduated Cum Laude.
