I started college in 2014 for IT/Tech support. I'm PC Pro Certified (A+ equivalant); Anything Tech related, I can fix or set up.
From there, I worked as a maintenance technition at a nursing home and got hands on experience repairing and setting up just about anything imaginable within a commercial work area, as well as for individual residents that lived there.
When I left there, I got into masonry work setting stone on new housing, as well as laying brick walls for a private contractor. I also did a few months in the stone factory, where they made the cement stones for house faces, but I quickly found that constant heavier work is not my thing..
I started working for budget home maintenance in Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas, taking all kinds of different jobs and getting a wide variety of handyman skills. Did that on and off for about 5 years, along side of Big D's.
I'm new to the area, so I'm kind of a 1-man show for now. So, I prefer work that isn't difficult for me to perform without help. Smaller projects, or jobs that aren't time sensitive are best for me.
I always charge 60/hr out the gate initially, and request a 2 hr minimum to be paid. This covers the initial costs of leads, mis-leads, and the time and effort for finding clients. After the initial visit I'm happy to give daily rates to any that reuse my services, or those that have several days of work lined up for me. depending on the type of work, and daily hours, these rates can be anything between 100-300 per day.
I like to fix things. And I'm always looking for a better way. I'm very easy going, so if we need to work out something to get your project/problem solved, then we will figure out a way to make it work. Just give me a holler and we'll go from there!
