Hi my name is Adam Bier. I’m a Passionate 2nd-year apprentice carpenter based in st.paul, Minnesota. driven by five years of hands-on experience in fine woodworking, and carpentry. I’m Proficient in diverse carpentry skills, including framing, finishing, painting, furniture making, and restoration. I also have experience with computer science and design software like SketchUp. (Mainly cabinetry prints & furniture models, but floor plans sound fun!) I’m very Dedicated to
delivering quality craftsmanship, and exceeding your expectations.
When I began my career I started in a custom, high end cabinet shop. This built a cornerstone in my career as a carpenter and gave me a keen eye for detail. It was at this time that I was attending SNHU online for a 2yr computer science degree. 3/4 of the way through I realized I had a truer passion for woodworking, being happy with the knowledge I gained in CS; I dropped out. After 3 & 1/2 years at the cabinet shop I wanted to learn and do more than just cabinetry and furniture. So I took an apprenticeship with the National Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners; a union carpentry position working for Braxton. I also receive training for 160 hours a year at the carpenters training institute.
I’m offering my services at a competitive rate of 50 per hour, well below the standard self employed carpenter rate in the Twin Cities, I am eager to contribute my evolving skills to your projects.
