It's a top priority for me to ensure that my client's needs are met, and that they also receive reasonably priced, high quality design products. First and foremost, my passion and strength is print design. Many may see it as a dying art since so much is digital these days, but it's still relevant. It's a skill fewer and fewer people maintain their training in. I also enjoy designing logos, and I'm familiar with corporate design.
My goal is to create design that is easy to read and understand, but also stimulating and dynamic to view. In addition, I believe that Graphic Design is about much more than visual communication. It also includes a skillful level of verbal and written communication…. the ability to exchange and create productive dialogue with my client, and quite often, the general public.
The famous designer and typographer, Erik Spiekermann writes, “What we say and how we say it makes a difference. If we want to speak to people, we need to know their language. In order to design for understanding, we need to understand design.”
One of the most exciting aspects of Graphic Design for me is the opportunity to learn more about other specialties. With this in mind, I always enjoy learning more about my customers, their businesses, and their audience so that I can adapt my design to fit their needs. Ideally, when we collaborate, we will create innovative solutions for their projects.
