I know that choosing a private teacher can be a difficult decision! Choosing the right teacher can lead to a lifetime of enjoying your instrument, while choosing the wrong teacher can quickly lead to frustration. Because this is a tough decision, I try to make it just a little easier by offering my first lesson free of both charge and commitment.
In this first lesson we'll talk about your goals and interests, prior experience, and start figuring out what we will focus on if you plan to continue. The main goal for the first lesson is to give you a sense of what lessons will be like, so you can then decide if I'll be a good fit for you.
I realize that I may not be the cheapest option, but as with most things in life you often get what you pay for. I take great pride in my job both as a player and as an educator, and I try to offer competitive prices while at the same time not selling myself short!
I love seeing students grow and improve on their instrument, and I always enjoy seeing that look when something just "clicks". I know that playing something in front of an instructor can be a little nerve-wracking, so I try to do my best to make my students feel comfortable and enjoy our lessons.
I've been a lover of music ever since I was a kid, and over the years that love grew into a passion and eventually a career. Any day that is surrounded by music is a good day!
