I’m a pretty handy guy. I’ve spent many years with my father building family homes, working for subcontractors, and finding my niche in life. In 2003 I started working for myself painting a house. The more I talked to the owner about the end result of this project the more work I was able to obtain. Working with my father for all those years left me with a whole lot of skills, talent, and knowledge I was beginning to realize. The biggest takeaway I believe is the most valuable to me and that is when my dad explained to me that when you finish a job, you know you’ve worked hard & have done the best job possible, you need to stand back and look at your accomplishments, give yourself a little pat on the back and say to yourself; “Damn I’m good”!
