ABOUT ANDY J. SALGADO: Have you ever just gone to sleep to silence the chatter of constant insecurity and unhappiness? I could barely sleep, eat, or live normally without the impending feeling of sadness, which would ultimately lead to depression. Ultimately, my soul was telling me “This is not how it was supposed to go.” After 10 years of failed relationships, time lost, and finding myself single at 27 – when I thought I’d be married with a family, I was depressed and mourning the loss of my 20s, realizing I was completely off track and broken-hearted, I had no other choice but to start from scratch.
Whether you are 20, 30, 40, or 50, it is okay to start over. I hope you do not get to the end of your days wishing and hoping you have done more of the things that make you happy or fill you with joy. Start doing those things today. Start being the person you want to be today! The real question is, “Do you know how to begin?” No matter how low you feel, how down you feel, or how disappointed you become with your life, there is always a way to reverse the tide.
