I am proud to bring my experience as someone who has been practicing polyamory for nearly 20 years with the same primary partner--and has remained active in non-monogamous spaces and groups throughout that time--to my work as a relationship coach for non-traditional couples, solo daters, and anyone else who is working through these issues for themselves.
Here are just a few of the things I enjoy most about this work:
--exploring and talking through what opening up might look like
--discussing different relationship styles and models across the non-monogamous spectrum and helping you to find where you might land
--working with established poly units to talk through issues and minimize the potential for poly drama
--helping unattached / solo poly folks think through their approach to dating, improve their dating game, and learn how to form & maintain relationships beyond the traditional frameworks
--developing strategies and approaches for discussing your relationship(s) with family, friends, co-workers, and anyone else who may need to know about it
--working through issues with intimacy, jealousy, and infidelity
--advising monogamously-minded clients from my unique poly perspective
--helping clients who are anorgasmic or otherwise feeling held back from the sexual expression they desire to find and remove their obstacles to the pleasure they deserve in a compassionate, trauma-informed way
--finding the realistic limits of a relationship, and helping clients to be honest with each other and themselves in their expectations and approach to the partnership
--helping you to be the best partner, lover, and communicator you can be
PLEASE NOTE that I am a relationship coach, and not a licensed counselor. (I am a licensed attorney with 17 years of experience, much of it with couples going through difficult situations which inspire and inform this work, and am also happy to offer legal advice if necessary/appropriate.) I began to offer these sessions to the poly community once it became apparent that very few marriage counselors have *any* training or experience in non-monogamy, and many seem to default to advising against it to some degree rather than seriously considering it as a viable option for a couple looking to explore it in good faith for the right reasons. I believe that you deserve someone who has been there and understands the unique issues presented by non-traditional relationship styles. (However, if I come to believe after meeting with you that your issues require a more traditional counselor, I am happy to let you know that and refund anything you have already remitted.)
My style is questioning and collaborative, and I do everything possible to take the people in front of me as I find them and help them to come to their own answers.
I am also available as a sex/intimacy coach employing a novel method I intensively developed during the pandemic based in hypnotherapy and mindfulness which is specifically designed to help people with vaginas who are fully anorgasmic or have otherwise been struggling with obstacles to orgasm. As with all of my professional services, this is available both by video or in person and partners are always welcome to observe, support, and learn with you.
I am happy to meet by video at your convenience (including evenings and weekends) as well as by appointment in person at my Boston law office.
Thank you for considering my services for such an important part of your life. I look forward to meeting you wherever you are at in your journey.
