My name is Harvie Herrington and I'm a professional speaker on topics related to Overcoming Adversity and Leadership. I have experience speaking to the youth and corporate professionals. I have successfully completed over 200 speaking engagements at institutions like Iowa State University and with national brands such as Sam's Club.
When speaking at your event I dive deep into questions like, Did you have a dream for your life? Did you think about it? Did it motivate you?
You should have dreams. You should think about your dreams. Constantly. You should think about your dream so much it makes your insides ache. Everyone should have a dream; a burning desire to BE MORE, to DO MORE. Your dream can, and should, overwhelm you, but also it can be your power, your light, your energy. Your dream can often inspire others around you to do and want more themselves.
We aren't born just to live. We are born to create, inspire, and help others make this world a better place. We are all born for greatness, but sometimes we may need a little help, a little push in the right direction. I want to be that push. I want to talk to your athletes and your student leaders. I want to help them find discover the dream within themselves, and help them towards achieving their dreams. I will help remove doubt from their minds, and drive home the point that failure is not a bad thing if you understand how it can help you in the future. The information contained within my talks will help:
High school students:
-Increase self confidence, self awareness, and self esteem
-Improve test scores
-Decrease dropout rates and increase graduation rates
-Inspire dream building, goal setting and action
College/University students:
-Increase engagement, and retention
-Increase the reputation of the institution

-Decrease alcohol abuse, sexual assaults and race issues

There is no better feeling than to help someone else feel better about themselves both physically and mentally. I would like the opportunity to speak to your young athletes and leaders and give them a push towards changing their lives for the better. You should think about your dreams constantly. So much that it makes your stomach hurt. Everyone should have this burn, this desire to be more, too do more. It should and can overwhelm you. It will become your power, your light, and energy. Knowing why you are hear makes you a light, a light that will inspire others around you to do and want more.
