Please Note:
I'd so love to connect with you! Thumbtack charges for every interest email I receive. Thus, if you have any questions about my business or an organizing project please use my website to schedule a time for us to talk!
Currently I have very limited weekend availability in January, February, and March.
A bit about Homeworks:
I believe that our space can have a profound impact on how we feel each and every day as we move about our world. This has never been more true than during the past 18 months, when so many of us have been spending an extraordinary amount of time at home.
If you have a space that feels overwhelming, congested, or simply isn't working for you I'd love to help you. Here's a bit how my process works:
1. First, we'll start with a free virtual consultation. I'll ask you to show me around the space you want to wrangle, and talk with you a bit about your goals, and limitations. We'll discuss a time and cost estimate and I may ask you to take measurements. At the end of this consultation, we will schedule a time to complete the project.
2. Next, I'll plan to come in-person to tackle the space. Like beginning exercise, sometimes organizing jobs can feel worse before you see improvement. We will discuss whether you are ready to let go of items that are no longer useful to you, or if you want to try to find a home for your existing things.
Projects often have a better outcome when organizing containers and tools are used to give your items a designated "home." If you want new shelving, bins, containers, or other organizing products I will assist with designing, selecting and buying these products.
I charge $120 an hour.
Organizing bins are purchased by me and charged to you at cost.
** Of note ** Occasionally, I will get requests to organize and de-clutter spaces that are not your own. This is often the case when someone is struggling with Hoarding Disorder. Extensive research has shown that moving, de-cluttering, re-arranging, and discarding items of someone without their consent can be traumatic and can lead to excessive acquiring that make the original problem of too much stuff worse. Thus, it is not recommended. If you have a family member, friend, neighbor, or loved one who is struggling with Hoarding Disorder I strongly recommend you seek support through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
