I am a 71 years young, multi-certified Personal Trainer and certified Master Health and Wellness Coach. I also hold a Master’s degree in Counseling. I am unique in my trade in that I am able to incorporate both trainer and coach into our workout sessions should you feel the need to work on more than the physical aspects of your life. Unlike many trainers, I work my clients out in the PRIVACY of their OWN HOME. I bring all the equipment necessary to give a better than gym quality workout. All you need to do is find a small area for us to work out in and open the door when I ring the bell.
I proudly admit that I am older than most in the industry. As a ‘mature’ adult, I understand the changes that occur in our bodies as we age. I get it, because I live it. I will adapt your workouts according to your needs, limitations, likes and dislikes. I will respect your boundaries but try to ease you past them. Besides working with the older but wiser crowd, I also work with all clients whose number one priority is a healthy body, rather than to rock a bikini come summertime. The awesome muscle tone that is a benefit of exercise, is the icing on the proverbial cake. The health benefits are the cake, itself.
Clients come to me for different reasons, but all with the desire to reach a healthy goal . Some are searching for their path to attain and maintain weight loss through exercise, and/or behavioral therapy and dietary changes. Many are looking to overcome the negativity that holds them back from attaining their goals in life—-such as relationships with food, themselves or others. Many older clients are working to maintain their quality of life, through strength, balance and flexibility training. Others simply want to feel good. All training modes point to healthy goals.
In this era of the new normal, there are many of us whose lives have been turned upside down and are seeking ways to manage stress and find time for ourselves. Exercise is an all natural stress reliever— nature’s magic pill for our minds and bodies.
My role as your trainer and coach is to help you move forward. It’s a journey of exploration, discovery and positive transformations, both physically and emotionally.
