I have met and worked with plenty of personal trainers. Many have never been out of shape. Most were athletes for the majority of their lives. They then transitioned into training because they love exercising.
However, I have been in your shoes. I was overweight growing up. I had weighed about 140 lbs by the time I was ten years old. At my heaviest, I reached just under 280 lbs before I decided to change my life.
Even if you aren't overweight and want to build muscle, I was right where you are now, starting at zero. I remember how difficult it was to start. I can still feel the frustration I felt when the weight didn't go down, I didn't build muscle as I expected, or when I cheated on my diet.
I was able to lose weight and get stronger with some trial and error. Now I want to share that knowledge with you and get you the body you've wanted for years.
I love it when people beat their old personal records. Whether it is picking up more weight, doing more reps, or just losing an extra inch off their waistline. Although they did all the work, I can't help but be proud and excited for them. Then it's time to work again!
