What’s It Like to Be a Dog?
Animals, especially dogs, are my favorite way to spend my time. I am endlessly facinated by them and the way they experience emotions, us, and the world around them. Do they really perceive our intense love for them the way we do and return those feelings? Do they feel shame or guilt? What about their dreams? My most recent read is “What It’s Like to Be a Dog“ by Gregory Berns. It’s more about the science side of a dogs mind, but if you like that kind of thing I highly recommend it!
I have been pet sitting with a partner (as back-up) since 2019 andI must say I have cultivated some pretty spectacular doggie clients! I’m located in Green Hills, but am willing to travel as far as Franklin for overnight housesitting visits. Additionally, I do pet sitting (boarding or daycare) in my home, which is a good alternative rather than putting your pet in a kennel where they might not get the individualized love & care they need and deserve.
Whether staying in your home or mine, I have my sweet & playful 4 yr old/18 lbs chihuahua mix pup, Ziggy Stardust, that plays well with all friendly dogs. I can even bring him with me to your home, if you like, as a bonus playmate for your pup(s) at no extra charge ?. I guess you could say he’s my Chief Playtime Coordinator!!
I will be home with your pet at all times and there will be LOTS of potty breaks, playtime, love & cuddles, the park, and maybe even a nap, are all on the schedule!! Any special needs, preferences, or anything you have communicated that would ensure the most comfortable stay possible will be my top priority.
If you would like your fur baby to stay with me in my home, I can provide frequent potty breaks and playtime at our home and the park! At nighttime, I can crate your dog or he/she can sleep on the floor by me in their own bed, or even sleep with me in my bed!! Any additional needs can also be arranged (please specify at time of booking). Whatever it takes to keep your pet happy while they are on their vacation at my house! ?
If you would like me to stay with your pet at your home, which typically is the least stressful on animals, I will accommodate all routines, games, phrases … whatever will make your pet super comfortable and content while your away. Frequent updates, photos and videos will be sent to you via text daily. You’ll almost feel like you’re with us! And I will even water the plants, bring in the mail, wash the sheets and tidy up while your gone so everything is nice for you when you get home!!
Whatever the situation, I would be honored to provide excellent care, emotional support, TONS of love & affection for your fur babies for as long as you’ll let me!!

-Has a small fenced yard (with lots of plants and things to sniff and pee on) and it opens up to a “dog park” (truth be told, it’s really just a yard with a doggie poop bag stand)

-Has 1 Dog, No Other Pets
-No Children Present
-Dogs Allowed On Bed
-Dogs Allowed On Furniture
-Takes Only 1 Client at a Time
-Potty Breaks Every 2-4 Hours

Whatever the scenario, TONS of fun, cuddles, love, playtime, with maybe a nap & puppy massage sprinkled in are all on the schedule. When your baby is with me, I treat them as if they’re my very own and typically get pretty attached to all the little stinkers!!

-No Females in Heat
-Dogs 0-40 lbs are welcome in Krista’s home (the weight limitation is only because her dog gets a little over protective with larger dogs), but larger dogs are great too when house sitting at your home.
