With over 38 years of piano teaching and performance experience including all major genres of Classical, Country Western, Jazz, Sacred, Pop, Rock, Film Score, Wedding Music, and holiday favorites, I have been thrilled to provide the highest level of instruction, from beginning through advanced levels for music lovers of all ages!
As a certified Elementary Education teacher, with experience teaching a variety of subjects in grades K-8, I know that to tailor instruction to fit the student’s learning style is critical.
Each song the student is learning to play, is taught in the specific way which is most beneficial to the student's age, experience, mastery level, previous musical study, and learning style.
Creating your own music, collaborating with other musicians, & listening to Music, yields life altering benefits to our mind, body, immune system, and spirit!! In the last 25 years, scientific studies have revealed these profound gains are not just for the person who has studied music since a young child!
Many adults and elderly folks who create, listen to, dance to, and thoroughly enjoy music, may display greater cognitive/memory function, increased balance and coordination, lower cortisol (stress) levels, improved health than their peers who do not regularly engage in the Arts!
