About

As a joyful arts advocate I believe any student can learn to be expressive and musical - at any level and at any age. In addition to studying music and piano education in college, I'm also a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dance's classical ballet teaching program, and was a classical ballet teacher in Portland, Oregon for over 15 years before turning my full attention to teaching the piano. I’m told I bring a unique perspective to teaching piano by blending the discipline and grace of dance with a love of music. The nature of my piano lessons are warm, nurturing, and down to business. I also lead a book and study club for musicians and am the "go to" for answering technical piano questions for a large community of adult pianists.
