My name is Isaiah Jamal, and I was born and raised in Fredericksburg VA. While in school I developed a passion for performance, and I went on to study acting at Christopher Newport University.
As an actor, I’ve always been taught to recognize the beauty within people. All of their loves, hates, passions, fears, and complexities align to make them truly unique, bringing a special energy to the world that can’t be replicated. Photography allows me to capture these intricacies in a way that highlights each person’s individual gifts, and creates moments that sincerely show the world who they are. It’s important for us to be comfortable within ourselves, and my goal with my work is to allow gaining this confidence in who we are to be be not only entertaining, but empowering.
