Hello I am Shaady and the owner and lead instructor of Go Fish Swim School. i teach an average of 85-105 students a week every week during the school year and about 65 students per week in the summer.
My three dc locations are held on monday, wednesday, friday, and sundays…. weekly. I and my small team of wizards of water coaches travel to private homes (to about 18 private pools per week. these are my maximum numbers. there is a waitlist…. we are selective of where and to whom we travel to.)
I personally, have been teaching all my life. Water is my passion and I have always been a competitive swimmer since a wee lad. I used to coach holton arms high school swim club “the capital sea devils” and weekly// teach 6 month olds, to 5 years olds to high school, parents with their kids in family lessons, and champion dolphins in their late 70s. I’m also on the dc Water Wizards Swim Team. Every year I swim the chesapeak bay swim which is 4.4 miles!
I am a certified k-6 teacher and I got my teaching degree from University of Maryland School of Education and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years.
I am flexible to a point and can do 1 on 1s, come to your location, offer group lessons, hold swim clinics, throw mommy and me classes, and I have permits for DPR public pools as well. I have all my certifications, WSI, CPR, Insurance, and I make sure that I and my team is am very effective. My classes are not only engaging and fun, but they radiate the love for the water, while fulfilling realistic and sometimes even unrealistic goals for swimming. There is nothing more powerful than the confidence you get from doing what you thought you couldn’t. Teaching, water, swimming, and kids (not so much adults—- )are the things I am most passionate about in life.
