About

I am a certified Orton Gillingham Reading Tutor. The Orton Gillingham method is a multi-sensory approach to teaching reading. The students are taught each individual sounds through seeing, hearing, and writing. Lessons are individualized and students do not progress until they have mastery of the sounds. The OG method is considered one of the best practices for teaching reading to a struggling reader.

In addition to tutoring, I also have 13 years of experience as a special education paraprofessional. I especially love tutoring students in reading. There is nothing better than seeing a student, who didn't think they could read, learn to read.
