Hi! My name is Alexa Imwalle, Owner and Founder of Smart Start Tutors LLC. Smart Start Tutors was born in 2018 from my passion of supporting struggling readers to become confident and successful readers. As a former struggling reader, I know exactly what it feels to sit in class terrified that the teacher will call on you to read aloud to the class or how frustrating it can be to have to take double the time to complete homework because you can't seem to read the directions.

At Smart Start we are a team of Reading Interventionists who care deeply about each of the students we work with. We are trained in Orton-Gillingham and use a multisensory OG program called PRIDE Reading to help our students close their reading gap as quickly and efficiently as possible.
