LIABILITY - Liability insurance will not cover incidents by an unlicensed pilot. Ask before hiring, “Are you FAA certified”? Hire legal pilots. It’s the law.

Q: If you own a business, can you hire anyone with a drone for aerial photography/video?
A: No. The drone pilot must hold an FAA Part 107 certification, be insured and properly trained.
Q: Can realtors use a personal drone for real estate listings?
A: Only if they are FAA certified. If not, you are considered a drone hobbyist, thus, you cannot “hobby” for business or another person whether money is exchanged or not.
