Hello! I'm Jeffrey, and I'm currently a brown belt in jiu-jitsu at Chicago MMA, a Ralph Gracie affiliate gym. I started training in 2017, and now teach both kids and adult classes. I love training nearly everyday, learning from my coaches and training partners, and passing on the best techniques I know to my students. As a small guy, Jiu jitsu was so empowering to me once I saw my first signs of any success in the gym. After going through childhood with no martial arts experience, it became my biggest passion in adulthood. I believe jiu jitsu is the best martial art for one vs one self defense situations.
I have always preferred one on one learning whether it pertains to jiu jitsu or any other skill. This is what makes me so passionate about providing one on one training to others, as a way of paying forward all the help I've received from my instructors. Martial arts and combat sports can be intriguing while also very intimidating, and private lessons are a great way to ease into group classes and learn potentially life saving techniques.
