Hello,
My name is Talia Vazquez. I’m a singer, choir section leader, and emerging voice actor in Tampa Bay, Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida in vocal performance and pedagogy and also pursued a musical interest in sacred church, gospel, and Christian music within my community. I have also collaborated with opera guilds, musical theater, and local choirs for the past ten years. While in the community, I’ve recently studied pop/rock, jazz, R&B styles thanks to Roxy Miller’s Voicercise program for the past two years. I have taken workshops in vocal pedagogy, opera, musical theater, Alexander techniques, and numerous diction methodologies for improving speech.
My goal is to find your own unique voice so that you can sing in a healthy and sustainable way across many genres. We each have our own unique abilities that make each voice especially unique on our own. The emotion and communication we sing are rather important in order for us to make our voices sound the way we want. I am a professional performer in classical opera, sacred church, music theater, pop/rock, R&B/soul, gospel, etc. I have developed a style of teaching that is efficient and flexible for students even if they struggle with reading music. All my lessons cater to everyone’s individual needs in their private lessons.
The process of helping a person find their voice doesn’t have to take years. It can take an average of 8-12 WEEKS! It’s true! You can start making your voice do whatever you want in just a few months! That's depending on what singing challenges a singer feels they struggle with. My goal in working with students is to bring confidence, strengthen their voice, ensure quality practice skills, and make lessons fun, challenging, and interesting.
*Due to the Covid-19 rise in my home state Florida and for the safety of my students, I am currently offering only online lessons via Zoom/Skype.
