Dr. Nik is the Founder and C.E.O. of SCARSDALE RAS CPA P.C., a full-service accounting, tax, and auditing firm. With over 25 years of professional experience as a teacher and a certified public accountant, Dr. Nik prides himself in serving as a trusted advisor to organizations and institutions that want to attract, improve and maintain a diverse and inclusive workforce, boost leadership capability and drive transformational change. Dr. Nik served and taught as an assistant professor of accountancy and accounting information systems after being awarded the position at the Business Department of the City University of New York and the College of Mount Saint Vincent for more than 18 years. His background is quite diverse but one common theme runs through Dr. Nik’s professional and academic career, he is a professional manager who teaches. Dr. Nik’s mission statement is: "To teach in the boardroom or the classroom." In other words; “A teacher is who I am, not what I do.” His first job out of college was as a tax accountant, a career he enjoyed even at 60 hours per week. After dedicating 15 years to public accounting serving in many roles, including staff accountant, auditor, and ultimately general manager he left the company to return to school to earn his M.B.A. and Ph.D. The past 20 years have been spent in education and public accounting. Dr. Nik has worked as a tutor, workshop instructor, lecturer, and assistant professor. While he still retains connection with his field roots, His priorities are in public accounting. Dr. Nik is a C.P.A., and his educational background is: A.A.S. – Accounting Information System, B.S.- Accounting, M.B.A. in Finance, and a Doctoral Degree- Quantitative Finance.
