Anatoliy is from Kazakhstan, where he studied transportation technology at Karaganda State Technical University, before getting his MFA in filmmaking from New York Film Academy.

Susie is from LA, and she studied molecular & cellular biology at Harvard University (along with film and animation), before getting her MS in computer science from UChicago.

While we were both in engineering, deep down, we always had a passion for storytelling. And one day, we decided that life was far too short for us not to do what we loved: creating and sharing real stories. So we took the leap, and little did we know, it would lead us to serendipitously meet at a wedding! Many laughs, experiences, and memories later, we got married :).

OUR VIDEO APPROACH

We know firsthand how special every love story is, especially after planning our own wedding. That’s why our approach is to take a very customized and personalized approach to crafting a film that reflects each couple’s unique dynamic and personality.

Each of our films is different in style and vibe, and that’s because we take the time to get to know you beforehand, learn about how you met, your favorite songs and hobbies, and carefully understand what you are looking for. Some couples let us take full creative license, so we take note of all the small moments throughout the wedding day to make sure we reflect your essence in your final films. Other times, couples have specific requests, and we make sure to incorporate and go through all of your preferences beforehand.

Finally, it’s important to us that your film tells your story. It’s not just a sequence of stunning shots, but a well-crafted tale. Anatoliy’s experience as a director and cinematographer lends a skillful approach to filmmaking, prioritizing authenticity and professional-grade shots.

OUR PHOTO APPROACH

For both photo and video, we embrace true-to-color images that are not only beautiful but reflect genuine emotions.

During important family moments, getting ready, first look, and other intimate times, we strive to be as invisible as possible, using long lenses and allowing you both to enjoy the day without feeling like you’re constantly being watched by a camera. Of course, we’ll still make sure you’re in good lighting and give you direction as needed, to make sure the final photos come out great!

During the romantic sessions, we bring in a more editorial approach, directing you as much as you need or want. Every couple has different comfort levels in front of a camera, and we’ll make sure you feel comfortable!

While posing is a natural part of wedding photography, our focus is on capturing the real moments that reflect your personality and how you would naturally interact with each other, even when we’re taking photos with just the two of you during golden hour.

After the wedding, Susie goes through all of the photos herself, making sure that the final gallery is a reflection of you, allowing you to reminisce about each moment as though it just happened.

After you reach out to us, we’ll have a consultation call to make sure that we’re the right fit, and if we move forward to set the date, we’ll then send you a detailed questionnaire to fill out a month before the wedding. We also schedule a phone/zoom call to talk through who you are as a couple and go through every detail of the wedding timeline to make sure we’re prepared and on the same page.
