Now located in the greater Detroit area I was born and raised in Ireland, I moved to MI in my early twenties in 2003. For over 10 years I served as a pastor at multiple churches from urban to rural. I have had an active role in social justice issues and community development, mentoring youth groups, outreach to the homeless, co-founding and directing an anti human trafficking group, as well as serving on other boards and leadership teams. A former rugby player in my homeland, I also co-founded and coached a local rugby team here in MI.
As a self-described over sized leprechaun, I can tell you in Ireland it rains all year round, the grass is always green, and rainbows are a common occurrence. Although my brogue accent may have faded just a bit, my powerfully red beard will leave you without any question as to my Celtic roots.
I really believe my passion to help people, my sincerity, and humor, make me perfect for officiating any wedding. I have always found it a privilege when asked to officiate for couples taking that leap into life together. It's incredibly special when two people find one another out of billions and decide to give their lives to each other. Being asked to officiate that union is something I've always especially cherished and has been a favorite element of my years in ministry.
