Copyediting involves revising the text to improve readability. I am
always looking for the voice and flow of your writing.

Memoirs, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, YA literature, novels, children's
books, fantasy, spiritual, self-help, websites, brochures, flyers,
letters, blogs, articles, and newsletters, to name a few.
I deliver on deadlines.
I keep in contact with my writer every step of the way so there
are no surprises.
My expertise in teaching and writing comes from my 30 years in
education as a high school English teacher, staff developer,
workshop presenter, college professor, College Academic Director,
Elementary School Principal, and High School Principal.
I can remember as a child that words captivated me. Spelling
was a big deal. Playing private games in my head, like anagrams,
was a significant pastime for me, and these habits have never left.
With this quirky allure, I found ways to stay connected to
words; mainly through reading and writing for myself
and others.
Each piece I read and edit (or copyedit) becomes part of a
learning experience for me. While I search for words, I search
for meaning. Reading and writing are the ultimate communicators.
My writing assistance to others has included journal, memoir,
fiction, and nonfiction editing, including YA literature,
children's books, poetry, personal letter writing, brochures,
websites, newsletters, and... well—you name it—I have probably
edited it!
What fun to escape my day-to-day, and delve into another
person's writing! You see, words fascinate me. This is what
gets me up in the morning! No, seriously. Each day, when I am
pouring my first cup of coffee, I think about which word
I will use for "Wordle" before shuffling back to bed with a coffee
cup in hand to play this fun and challenging game. Yes. Every
single morning.
