I love helping actors do their best work. I am a working actress with a passion for gifting others with the tools I’ve learned at Juilliard and with top coaches in Los Angeles.
I’m from the Bronx, NY. At 10, the acting bug hit me when I did my very first play starring in Pygmalion (the play My Fair Lady is based on) as Eliza Doolittle. I’m so glad cell phones weren’t around then. Haha!
I eventually when on the study at LaGuardia HS of the Performing Arts (the “Fame” School). A guidance counselor advised me that since “no one from here” has even gotten in to LaGuardia, I shouldn’t bother to apply. I wound up only applying to LaGuardia. And the entire school celebrated when I got in ???
After getting my BA in Psychology, I went to Juilliard on a full, merit-based, scholarship (which I got solely from my audition). I have since gone back to Juilliard to guest teach on my work in August Wilson plays, for which I have received Ovation and LA Drama Critics Circle Awards. I most recently won an LADCC Award for Best Leading Performance (I tied with Bryan Cranston) for my work in Blues for An Alabama Sky at the Mark Taper forum directed by Phylicia Rashad.
