I've been offering private music lessons in the Scranton, Clarks Summit PA area for close to two decades. Students can choose either in person or remote instruction for local lessons and online/remote lessons for anywhere else.
PDF's of lessons are handed out or emailed and even video reviews of material are available upon request. Since each student is unique, every lesson is tailored to each student's needs and goals. I teach a variety of styles and place a healthy focus on technique and playing correctly. A little proper technique goes a long way and allows the budding student to access more complex material down the road. Also, reading music, counting, theory, and ear training are all on the list as well.
I began teaching back in the early 2000's providing in home lessons all over NEPA and since 2020 have taken an interest in providing online lessons as well. A bit different approach for the two formats and I can't really recommend one over the other for medium to advanced students but for newcomers it's a good idea to meet in person, especially for youngsters. There's much to be said for developing proper technique at the beginning and while online lessons are an excellent format, a young or beginner student will benefit greatly by in person lessons as well.
You may choose either and I proudly provide both and still travel right to my students in NEPA.
