My name is Ben Maughan and I have over 24 years experience in fitness instruction. I am a former overweight kid who has changed his own life. I have helped many people lose 15lbs to 100lbs and more. I have a client who recently hit the 200lbs mark. I have worked at Equinox in Westwood and Gold's Gym in Hollywood. I also train high profile clients at their homes, offices and on set. I am certified in Personal Training (AFAA), Yoga and Spin (YAS fitness studios), Swim (YMCA), Nutrition (AFPA), kettlebells and TRX. I have experience in crossfit, martial arts, and boxing, and teach those disciplines as well. I ran bootcamps throughout Los Angeles with West LA Bootcamps (which I formerly owned). I have provided online personal training and nutrition plans globally with FitOrbit (Body By Jake) and now provide my own custom online training and diet plans to clients all over. I am fully certified and insured. I have a lot of knowledge, energy and experience with all types of fitness equipment. I'm a true professional and I'm interested in speaking to you further.
My sessions are one hour in length. 5-10 min is dedicated to warming up and stretching. I then take you through the workout. My system is circuit based. I gradually build a new clients strength and stamina into eventual 4-6 exercise circuits. Abs complete the circuit. We up the rounds until I eventually have my regular clients working non-stop for the full hour with limited breaks every 10 minutes or so. Lets get to work.
