About

I teach English and martial arts at Las Positas College in Livermore, California.

In terms of reading and writing, I teach reading comprehension strategies, essay mechanics (thesis statements, sentence structure, paragraph structure, MLA/APA), and critical thinking skills. For more advanced students, this may include literature analysis and rhetoric.

In terms of martial arts, I teach Setchu Ryu Jujutsu, a blend of Japanese jujutsu (small joint manipulation, chokes, throws) and Filipino Martial Arts (knife, stick, and empty hand) with additional elements of Hawaiian Lua.
